Dr Stuart Ellis

Dr Stuart Ellis qualified from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1990. In 1999 he gained a further postgraduate qualification, the DPDS from the University of Bristol and in 2006 was awarded his first Masters Degree (MSc) in Postgraduate Dental Studies. He has since qualified with a Masters of Laws Degree in Medical Law & Ethics at the University of Edinburgh.
Dr Ellis holds Fellowships in the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of England (FDSRCS) and the College of General Dentistry (FCGDent)
Dr Ellis' main area of interest is in the field of dental implantology, which he has been involved in for over 30 years. He is the Chief Examiner at the Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology for both the Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Implantology qualifications and Course Lead for the Master of Science Degree in Advanced Dental Implantology at Aston University. He has been involved in dental education for many years and has now trained over 1,000 dentists from across the world in the field of dental implantology. Stuart has a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Cambridge.
Dr Ellis has served as Chief Examiner (MSA component) at the Faculty of General Dental Practice in the postgraduate dental qualification, MFGDP. He was also an examiner for the MJDF postgraduate qualification at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Dr Ellis acts as an Expert Witness for the English and Irish courts and has been consulted on over 300 cases. He is a Clinical Expert for the General Dental Council.
Stuart teaches at the University of Cambridge in the Faculty of Medical Education.
Away from the surgery he is a keen cyclist.
