At Cavendish House we have always embraced the latest technological advances to continually improve the quality and comfort of the dental care that we provide for our patients. We have been instrumental in bringing a number of new technologies to the UK and we have appeared on TV and Radio because of this.

Digital Radiography - The entire practice is equiped with a state-of-the-art Schick® digital radiography system. This is a computerized x-ray imaging system that utilizes electronic sensors instead of X-ray film. The sensors produce sharp and clear images that appear almost instantly on a computer screen.

Apart from the fact that we can give our patients instant images, the digital system has huge health benefits because it uses up to 90% less radiation than conventional film X-rays. Once the x-ray images have been captured onto the computer they can be digitally enhanced to show the dentist details that conventional films could not.

The WAND - Cavendish House is equiped with the latest computer assisted local anaesthetic device - The Wand. This is a computerised local anaesthetic delivery system that has proved to be a milestone in comfort and gentle anaesthesia.

Developed in the USA, The Wand works by sensing and continually adjusting the pressure of the anaesthetic solution delivery in order to reduce the pressure to below the pain threshold of most patients. In some areas of the mouth, especially in the top jaw and the palate, many patients feel no pain from the injection whatsoever.
